Grab Em’

Grab Em’, 2018, is a is 12 in. x 12 in., mixed media piece on canvas. Created during the former president’s term, Avnet sought to provoke discussion surrounding Trump’s values and opinions on women by using a direct quote captured on an audio recording in 2005: Trump stated “When you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything. Grab ’em by the pussy. You can do anything.” Avnet was inspired by Banksy to create political commentary through her art, using spray paint and hand-made stencils to evoke the feeling of Street art.
