Inspired by the character Cassie from Euphoria, Avnet sought to explore the duality of strength and fragility that exists within her. The work is not just a portrayal of Cassie, but also a broader commentary on the universal feelings of shame that many young girls experience—whether through pressured situations or societal expectations. Through the use of soft brushstrokes and a muted color palette, Avnet aimed to convey the vulnerability that Cassie embodies, juxtaposed with the striking, almost defiant look on her face.
